What's actually here

Release 01 contains 39 visual artifacts across 4 categories: 1 FBI Lab composite sketch, 8 FBI still images submitted directly as imagery, 24 FBI still images wrapped in single-page PDFs, and 6 NASA Apollo archival photographs annotated to highlight unidentified phenomena.

Heads up: No images of beings, entities, or "aliens" exist in this release. Every visual artifact depicts objects/craft — usually heavily redacted with black bars covering everything except the UAP region of interest. The most visually descriptive item is the FBI Lab composite sketch describing an "ellipsoid bronze metallic object."

FBI Still Images — A-series 8 items · direct PNG stills

Stills derived from a U.S. military system, submitted by the FBI to AARO in late 2025. Date and location withheld; black-bar redactions cover most of each frame except the UAP itself.

NASA Apollo Lunar Photographs 6 items · high-res JPG

Apollo 12 (1969) and Apollo 17 (1972) archival photographs of the lunar surface with highlighted "areas of interest" identifying unidentified phenomena above the lunar horizon. These are the largest-resolution images in the release (4400 × 4600 px).

FBI Still Images — B-series 24 items · PDF-wrapped stills

Same FBI/AARO submission pipeline as the A-series, but each image is delivered inside a single-page PDF. Click to view the full PDF; thumbnails preview the page.

A 30 April 2024 FBI Lab rendering depicting corroborating eyewitness reports from September 2023. Per the description: "an apparent ellipsoid bronze metallic object materializing out of a bright light in the sky, 130–195 feet in length, and disappearing instantaneously."
